Anne Edgar, Ph.D.

Anne Edgar, Ph.D. received her doctorate in school psychology with a subspecialty in neuropsychology from Columbia University. She also holds a masters degree in elementary education and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Bryn Mawr College. Dr. Edgar has trained and worked as a pediatric neuropsychologist in private practice, clinic and hospital settings, including New York University Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center in New York, and Franciscan Hospital for Children in Boston. Her research has focused on the effects of early focal brain injury on the development of language and other cognitive abilities in children. Prior to becoming a neuropsychologist, Dr. Edgar worked as an elementary school teacher and as a tutor for children with learning difficulties. Dr. Edgar is a licensed psychologist and certified health service provider.

Availability
Dr. Edgar is available one day a week in the Norwood office.

Services Provided
Dr. Edgar provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of preschool and school-aged children. Evaluations include a profile of cognitive strengths and deficits, diagnostic clarification, and recommendations for treatment planning. Appropriate referral issues include: learning disabilities, deficits in attention, Asperger’s and other pervasive developmental disorders, and specific cognitive deficits secondary to medical illness and traumatic brain injury.
