Elizabeth Stief O'Shaughnessy, Psy.D.

Elizabeth Stief O'Shaughnessy, Psy.D. received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Virginia Consortium Program in Clinical Psychology. She also holds a Masters Degree in Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from Stanford University.  Dr. O'Shaughnessy completed a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  She also completed a Pre-Doctoral Internship with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools.  Her research has focused on ADHD and epilepsy. Prior to becoming a pediatric neuropsychologist, Dr. O'Shaughnessy was a preschool teacher and educational researcher and consultant. 

SERVICES PROVIDED

Dr. O'Shaughnessy specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of preschool and school-aged children with a wide range of medical and neurobehavioral concerns, including ADHD, learning disabilities, speech/language impairment, autism spectrum disorders, epilepsy, and hydrocephalus.  Evaluations include a profile of cognitive strengths and weaknesses, diagnostic clarification, and recommendations for educational accommodations and specific treatment planning.

 

AVAILABILITY 

Dr. O'Shaughnessy is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Norwood office.
