Stephen Brevik, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist. Dr. Brevik received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Vermont, and received his Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from William James College (formally Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology). Dr. Brevik completed his APA pre-doctoral training at Youth Opportunities Upheld, Inc. (Y.O.U., Inc.), in which he provided a range of outpatient services to children, adolescents, and families who experienced significant mental health concerns. Stephen also completed pre-doctoral internships at Riverside Community Care and Boston Public Schools, and received additional training at the Leon O. Brenner Assessment and Consultation Center and the Center for Learning and Development.
Dr. Brevik specializes in providing outpatient clinical care to children, adolescents, and families who suffer from a variety of mental and behavioral health issues, such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, developmental disorders, and ADHD. Stephen utilizes a cognitive-behavioral approach to care, with a client-centered and collaborative focus. Stephen provides various outpatient services aimed at improving functioning for patients through consultation, crisis intervention, parental support, and individual, family, and group therapy approaches.
Dr. Brevik is available in our Weymouth office Monday and Wednesday and in our Norwood office on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Dr. Brevik is able to provide in network services for individuals with the following health plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), United Behavioral Health (UBH), Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare),Tufts Commercial Plan, and Beacon Health Strategies-Commercial & GIC Plans.
