Samantha Cristol, M.A, is a psychology intern with the William James College Consortium. Ms. Cristol attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst for her undergraduate studies, where she double majored in Sociology and Psychology and minored in Information Technology. She received her Master of Arts in Professional Psychology at William James College. Prior to her placement at CFPS, Ms. Cristol completed a practicum placement at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Adult Partial Hospital Program, where she provided individual and group therapy to adults aged 20 – 60 years old with chronic mental illness. Ms. Cristol also has practicum experiences working at the Family Health Center of Worcester, where she provided individual outpatient therapy to individuals across the lifespan and at BLOCKS Preschool, where she conducted cognitive and psychological evaluations with preschool age children.
While at CFPS, Ms. Cristol will be continuing her work with individuals across the lifespan with a range of presentations. She describes her theoretical orientation as humanistic and holistic. She has experience implementing a variety of evidence-based approaches, including dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Ms. Cristol is available in the Norwood office Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
Ms. Cristol is able to provide in network services for individuals with the following health plans. Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), United Behavioral Health (UBH), Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare), and Beacon Health Strategies-Commercial & GIC Plans.
