About Melissa Farmer, LMHC

Melissa provides individual counseling to adolescents through adults. Melissa has experience treating a broad range of concerns, including adjustment issues, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, self injurious behaviors, eating disorders/body image concerns, gender identity/gender dysphoria as well as other mental health concerns. Melissa uses client focused and strengths based approaches that include cognitive behavior therapy and holistic/mindfulness based strategies. Melissa believes that a strong therapeutic alliance helps promote healing and personal growth and she strives to develop trusting and empathetic relationships with her clients. In addition to her clinical services, Melissa also serves as the Site Director for LifeStance Health's outpatient office in Weymouth, MA.

Melissa Farmer, LMHC, (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), received a Bachelors degree in psychology cum laude from Boston University and a Masters degree in clinical mental health counseling with a focus on holistic interventions from Lesley University. Melissa is also licensed as school adjustment counselor.
