Kirk Lum, M.D.  attended the Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in General Psychiatry at the Harvard Longwood Psychiatry Program before completing a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Hospital Program. He also has a Master’s degree in secondary education.

Dr. Lum is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. He is also Certified in providing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for adults with Depression.

Dr. Lum is a partner at Child & Family Psychological Services, PLLC. and serves as the Medical Director.

Services Provided

Dr. Lum provides psychiatric evaluation & education, pharmacological treatment, and supportive therapy when indicated. All new patients must be currently receiving regular psychotherapy. If a patient is not currently receiving psychotherapy they may request such services at CFPS at the same time as requesting services from Dr. Lum.  Dr. Lum also provides TMS services.


Dr. Lum is available in our Norwood and Weymouth offices. He has office hours Monday through Friday. He is accepting new patients on a limited basis.

Insurance Networks

Dr. Lum participates in Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts, United Behavioral Health (UBH), Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare), Medicare, Beacon Health Strategies-Commercial & GIC Plans, Aetna, Coventry/First Health and Commonwealth Care Alliance. CIGNA and other network plans cover his services on an out of network basis. With the exception of Tufts Health Plan payment for out of network services must be made at the time of service and the client must submit claims directly to the network.
