Tessa S. Lundquist, Ph.D., received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Lundquist completed her pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at the Albany Psychology Internship Consortium where she worked at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany Medical Center, and the Capital District Psychiatric Center. She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Integrated Primary Care and Geropsychology at the VA Maine Healthcare System. Dr. Lundquist’s research has focused on memory screening and early detection of memory disorders, including the impact of older adults’ knowledge and anxiety about Alzheimer’s disease on willingness to screen.
Dr. Lundquist provides individual, couples, and group psychotherapy and psychological assessment to adult and geriatric patients. She provides treatment for a wide range of behavioral health problems including depression, anxiety, stage-of-life issues, and adjustment to chronic illness. Dr. Lundquist utilizes a range of interventions based on individual clients’ needs.
Dr. Lundquist specializes in Geropsychology. She treats older adults with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, cognitive impairment, caregiving, and the interaction between medical and mental health. She is skilled at helping older adults plan for and cope with the major life changes that often come with aging, such as retirement, bereavement, financial/family stress, medical illness, health decline, and end-of-life.
Dr. Lundquist is available in our Weymouth and Quincy offices.
Dr. Lundquist participates in Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health (UBH), Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare), Tufts Health Plan, Medicare, Beacon Health Strategies – Commercial and GIC plans only and Commonwealth Care Alliance.
