Cathryn F. Williams, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist and Certified Health Services Provider. She received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Williams completed pre-doctoral internships at the Boston Institute of Psychotherapy and Walden Behavioral Care and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Cambridge Eating Disorder Center in Cambridge, MA. Before joining CFPS, Dr. Williams was employed at Greater Lowell Psychiatric Associates in North Chelmsford.
Dr. Williams provides individual, family and couples psychotherapy. She utilizes and integrates the following approaches in her clinical work with children, adolescents, and adults (including elderly): cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and internal family systems (IFS). She specializes in working with mood disorders, adjustment disorders (including new mothers), eating disorders, and substance abuse disorders.
Dr. Williams is also available for psychological assessment to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning, and for consultation within the community for schools and medical practices.
Dr. Williams is available weekdays in our Northborough, MA office.
Our practice participates in the Aetna, Beacon Health Strategies (non-Medicaid only), Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health/Optum (UBH), Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare), Medicare, and Tufts Health Plan (non-medicaid only).
