Ms. Pottackal works with young children, adolescents, and adults who display a variety of psychological presentations such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, learning and adjustment disorders, behavioral problems, relationship concerns, and family conflict. She values a holistic approach when treating individuals and families, paying close attention to clients’ mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. After thorough evaluation of the client’s needs, Ms. Pottackal incorporates a variety of evidenced-based treatment modalities ranging from cognitive-behavioral to family systems therapy.
Alice Pottackal, M.A. is a psychology intern with the William James College Consortium. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Columbia University in 2017. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Stonehill College in 2015. Ms. Pottackal recently completed training at Center Elementary School in Chelmsford, MA where she conducted psychological assessments and emotional group therapy for children. In addition, she has trained at MetroWest Medical Center’s Partial Hospitalization Program where she provided intake assessments, individual case management and psychological group therapy for adults. She also has experience providing adolescents with short and long-term individual psychotherapy through her training at Groton School.
