Licensed Psychologist, Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Provider type: Neuropsychologist
Patient Age: Child & Adolescent
Services Provided: Consultation and Assessment
Dr. Lofaro provides neuropsychological evaluations for children and young adults with a wide range of developmental, medical, neurological, and social-emotional concerns. She specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children with developmental disorders (e.g. intellectual disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning problems, learning disabilities, autism spectrum, and language/communication difficulties), medical and neurological disorders (e.g. concussion/brain injury, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and genetic disorders), and social-emotional difficulties (e.g. mood and anxiety disorders, behavior problems, thought disorders).
Dr. Lofaro also has additional training as a school psychologist. She takes a systems-based developmental approach to her neuropsychological assessments, as she recognizes that each child, while unique in their own profile of strengths and weaknesses, is also a part of a larger “system” including family, school, and community. Each part of this larger system must also be considered in order to best understand how to support the child’s needs.
Dr. Lofaro earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Widener University. In addition to her generalized training as a clinical psychologist, she completed two years of pre-doctoral internship training in pediatric neuropsychological assessment at Widener University, which included rotations at both private practice and clinic-based assessment centers. After earning her doctoral degree, she completed post-doctoral fellowships in pediatric neuropsychological assessment at Mass General for Children’s Northshore Medical Center and Dr. Moldover and Associates.
