About Briana Ransford, MA.

Briana is a fourth-year psychology intern offering an integrated, holistic approach to therapy treating adolescents and their families as they navigate a wide-range of life challenges. Based on the unique needs of her clients, Briana provides individual, couples & family therapy using Multisystemic Therapy, Relational Family Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Trauma-informed CBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Briana offers additional treatment working with severe anxiety-related conditions, including OCD, through exposure and response prevention therapy, high-conflict resolution for parents and their families, restorative justice practices for at-risk youth, as well as family therapy for treating eating disorders, depression, autism, substance use, and PTSD. Briana applies a foundation of humanistic psychology to all clinical work, prioritizing a compassionate and empathetic alliance with her clients in order to support the development of autonomy, meaningful connections, and value-driven lives.

    Briana is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at William James College in Newton, MA as a fourth year student. In addition to receiving her Master's in Professional Psychology at William James College in 2021, Briana completed her first Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.
