Bruce Black, M.D. is the founder and Director of Comprehensive Psychiatric Associates. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Adult Psychiatry and in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and has expertise in psychopharmacology, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and Attention Deficit Disorder.
Prior professional experiences include serving as Director of Outpatient Psychiatry and of the Mood Disorders Program at Tufts Medical Center, and as Chief of the Anxiety Disorders Outpatient Research Program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Black is the author of over thirty-five scholarly papers and chapters in major medical textbooks. He is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine, is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society.
He graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1983, and completed residency training in Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Brown University.
