Caitlin is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and a graduate of Lesley University. She has experience in many different therapeutic settings, including schools and universities, addiction/recovery centers, wellness centers and outpatient facilities. She is integrative in her approach to treatment, using CBT, DBT, person centered therapy, mindfulness cognitive therapy and art therapy in the treatment process. Caitlyn considers herself to be a holistic and multicultural therapist, who works with clients to promote empowerment, social justice and wellness. Her background in theatre coupled with her time living abroad in Madrid, Spain have helped to shape her narrative and to inform her therapeutic approach. She believes that our capacity for recovery and healing is tremendous. If we sit with someone and we truly listen, then they can feel heard. If we have empathy and we do not judge, then they can feel safe. If we support clients when they falter, then we can help clients learn to steady the fall. Caitlin’s hope is that by creating a safe space, where we foster the belief in our own value and our positive self-regard, she can help clients to navigate their life journey.
