Cassandra (Casey) utilizes a client-centered approach to therapy by using multiple treatment methods to help clients meet their needs and goals. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults to help them recognize and challenge their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When working with children, Casey considers age-appropriate techniques and often utilizes various idgets, toys, and creative art techniques to help facilitate communication and build connections. Casey strives to create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for clients of all backgrounds. Casey has experience working with youth across multiple settings including government and non-profit organizations, as well as schools. She uses this experience to inform her outpatient clinical practice. Casey has experience supporting children and young adults who identify with the LGBTQIA+ community and she enjoys supporting youth as they come to know themselves on their identity journey. . Casey brings a trauma-informed and evidence-based perspective to her work. In 2021, Casey published "Mediators between Adversity and Well‐Being of College Students". Her original research examined the impact of childhood trauma on effective coping later in life. Casey is passionate about helping her clients cope with trauma and challenges as they navigate their lives.
Casey received her undergraduate
degree at Assumption University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts (BA)
Degree, majoring in Psychology. She later pursued a graduate education, by
receiving her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Bridgewater State University.
