Cathryn F. Williams is a licensed psychologist and Certified Health Services Provider. Dr. Williams provides individual, family and couples psychotherapy. She utilizes and integrates the following approaches in her clinical work with children, adolescents, and adults (including elderly): cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and internal family systems (IFS). She specializes in working with mood disorders, adjustment disorders (including new mothers), eating disorders, and substance abuse disorders.
Dr. Williams is also available for psychological assessment to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning and for consultation within the community for schools and medical practices.
Dr. Williams received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. She completed pre-doctoral internships at the Boston Institute of Psychotherapy and Walden Behavioral Care and a post-doctoral fellowship at the Cambridge Eating Disorder Center in Cambridge, MA.
