About Cecilia Provvedini, Psy.D.

Dr. Provvedini provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in an unconditionally accepting and relaxed space. She specializes in the treatment of post traumatic stress and complex trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, attachment, LGBTQIA+ health, and pediatric behavioral health issues. Modalities used are adapted to client needs and may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness-based interventions, and a good sense of humor.

    Dr. Provvedini received her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology from William James College in Newton, MA, while completing pre-doctoral internships in a variety of settings ranging from schools and community mental health agencies to the Middlesex Probate Court. She devoted her post-doctoral years providing trauma-specific therapy to children, youth, and families in Worcester county. Prior to her doctoral training, Dr. Provvedini received a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Boston College, and is trained in multiple evidence-based practices including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Framework.
