Provider type: Psychotherapist
Patient Age: Adult, Geriatric
Services Provided: Consultation, Clinical Evaluation, and Psychotherapy
Dr. Jarsky provides individual therapy to adults using an eclectic approach that primarily includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and family systems theory. These approaches allow him to take into account the whole person—including family history, interpersonal dynamics, current stressors, and personality—while also helping his clients address challenges in the short term, develop skills to manage emotions, and challenge unhelpful thinking. He works with a broad range of patients to treat symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma, relational issues, and grief.
Dr. Jarsky received his doctoral training in clinical psychology at William James College (formerly the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) in Newton, MA. He completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship at North Shore Medical Center and advanced practicum training as a Psychology Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital. His prior training also includes working with high school students at the Arlington School (McLean Hospital) in Belmont, MA, and with young adults participating in a gap-year program at You, Inc., in Worcester, MA.
