Dr. Paine provides individual therapy for adults dealing with a wide range of personal and relational challenges including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress, trauma, and relationship issues. He uses an interpersonal, emotion-focused, and strengths-oriented approach. He has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Relational Therapy. Dr. Paine has experience with Mindfulness techniques and Motivational Interviewing Special interests include relational psychotherapy and religion/spirituality.
Dr. Paine received his doctoral training in Counseling Psychology at Boston University, followed by a pre-internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Albert and Jessie Danielsen Institute at Boston University. Prior to his doctoral training, He received a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology (now William James College).
