As a pediatric neuropsychologist, Dr. Kalkut has expertise in evaluating infant, toddler, pre-school and school-aged children with developmental, learning, behavioral, and emotional problems as well as specialized training in working with children and adolescents with various medical, neurological, and genetic disorders. Dr. Kalkut has conducted research on executive functioning and depression in individuals with and without neurologic issues, and has scholarly articles and a book chapter published on these topics.
Dr. Kalkut provides neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for children and adolescents from birth through age 18 as well as young adults with developmental issues. She specializes in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children with questions of developmental disorders including autism spectrum, intellectual and learning disabilities, and ADHD; medical and neurological disorders including epilepsy, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, Lyme and other infectious disease, spina bifida, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and concussion; emotional difficulties such as depression and anxiety disorders; and other concerns related to education, learning, and development.
Erica Kalkut, Ph.D., ABPP is a licensed psychologist who is board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). She works with children and their families. Dr. Kalkut’s training includes her doctorate in clinical psychology from Loyola University Chicago with a focus in neuropsychology, a pre-doctoral internship in clinical neuropsychology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
