    Dr. Gass completed a bachelors degree in Chemistry at Carson-Newman University and a medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis. Both a Transitional Internship and Anesthesia Residency were completed by Dr Gass at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville prior to completing a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at the University of Louisville.

    Dr. Gass was a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and Pediatric Critical Care Specialist for approximately a decade, prior to completing a residency in Psychiatry at Quillen College of Medicine. During that time, he also completed a two year mentorship under the American Psychoanalytic Association Fellowship Program. Since, Dr. Gass has provided psychiatric care in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. Dr. Gass has been the medical director of Peninsula Village, long term residential treatment for troubled adolescents, in Louisville TN provided services to adjudicated adolescents in the New York State Close to Home program prior to relocating to Massachusetts. Immediately prior to arriving at Child and Family Psychological Services, Dr. Gass was serving as the Chief of Adolescent Services for South Coast Behavioral Health.

    Dr. Gass is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
