Ms. Macharia is board certified across the lifespan as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As a provider, Ms. Macharia takes great pride in providing high quality and patient-centered care with an emphasis on mental health education geared at improving her patients’ quality of life. Having worked in substance abuse, homecare and outpatient settings, Ms. Macharia believes patients thrive best when treated with both psychotropic medication as well as non-pharmacological interventions. When necessary, appropriate referrals are placed to therapists and/or specialists. Her goal is to work with other clinicians treating the patient and collaborate in care delivery.

    Ms. Macharia received her psychiatric graduate training from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Prior to her PMHNP training, Ms. Macharia received a Master's in Nursing degree from Endicott College in Massachusetts with a focus as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
