Irma F. Valsamakis, LICSW earned her Masters in Social Work degree from Boston College in 2010. She completed her clinical training at Childrens Hospital’s Psychiatry Department where she provided clinical assessments and psychotherapy to children and families. After earning her Social Work degree, Irma worked as a psychotherapist for children and adults at a community mental health agency. Irma then moved on to work at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician where she provided short term therapy and care coordination to adult patients and also facilitated stress management medical group visits. Before joining PCA, Irma worked as psychotherapist at Pediatric Health Care Associates where she worked in an integrated care model providing care coordination, consultation, evaluation and psychotherapy. Irma also has a Masters in Child Development from Tufts University and is fluent in Spanish.
