Dr. Morley specializes in working with adults and adolescents who benefit from a warm and positive therapeutic environment. She values the opportunities for understanding and growth that therapy can offer, strives to be empathetic and warm, and incorporates humor to make each person feel as comfortable as possible. She works with a range of people, from those who are experiencing an acute crisis or struggling with a specific mental health issue, to others who are seeking greater life satisfaction in general and stronger, more fulfilling relationships.
Dr. Morley treats mood disorders (anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder), relationship or social issues, stress management, and difficult life transitions. She has a specific interest in helping people understand relational patterns and improving their connections with others. In addition to individual therapy, she also provides couples therapy.
Dr. Morley uses an eclectic approach to her therapeutic work, incorporating many orientations so that she can tailor the work to fit with each individual’s goals and needs. These include psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness-based, dialectical behavior techniques, Gottman Method (certified Level 2), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and humanistic. She is the Director of PCA’s Lynnfield office, where she also provides evaluation and treatment for adolescents, adults and couples.
Dr. Morley completed her doctoral training at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology with a dissertation focused on exploring young adults experience of romantic relationships. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Azimuth Psychological, providing therapy and testing to adolescents and adults. In addition, Dr. Morley received a breadth of experience in her pre-doctoral trainings at Memorial Spaulding Elementary School in Newton, Northeast Behavioral Health, University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, and Azimuth Psychological. Prior to her doctoral training, Dr. Morley received a Master’s Degree in Professional Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, and received a Bachelors of Arts degree from Tufts University.
