Keavy Smith is a licensed clinical therapist that treats woman, adolescents and families. She is also certified in life coaching and mediator. She utilizes a solution focused client centered approach to treatment and believes that it is important to formulate realistic therapeutic goals in collaboration with the client or client system.
Her treatment is focused on CBT as a way to help the individual gain insights into their behavioral patterns. She works with adults, families and adolescents to empower them to create positive change in their lives through reflection, goal formation and motivational interviewing.
Keavy also looks at the mind body connection as a way to formulate goals that are unique for the individual’s journey of growth and change. In treatment we will look at continued patterns of crisis and stress in an individual’s life and empower them to focus on small daily changes that will make a big change in an individual’s overall life satisfaction.
Keavy Smith received her MSW from Wheelock College in 2003. She is independently licensed and in addition to working in a variety of clinical settings, has taught and trained in several academic institutions including Simmons University, Harvard University and Boston College. She is also trained in the ARC trauma model and is a life coach and certified mediator.
