Dr. Laura VanWort-Meng provides mental health treatment that is an integrated blend of cognitive-behavioral, existential, and humanistic therapies. Dr. Laura VanWort-Meng received a Doctorate of Psychology from the APA accredited Clinical Psychology program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed both her pre- and post-doctoral fellowship training in the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) track at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital. Across practicum experiences, she has trained in treating individuals, couples, and families across a broad range of ages, ethnicities, genders, and ability statuses in a variety of settings including hospital, primary care, nursing home, and private practice. As a mental health advocate, Dr. Meng has worked to reduce health disparities and improve accessibility to healthcare by partnering with treatment courts, medical centers, and educational programs. Prior to her doctorate, Dr. Meng earned a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Adelphi University.
