Dr. Lauren Baumann provides neuropsychological assessments and consultation for adults across the lifespan with diverse cognitive, neurological, and psychiatric concerns. Dr. Baumann works with individuals with medical/neurological conditions (including MCI/dementia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, movement disorder/ Parkinson's disease, brain tumor, and head injury), psychiatric conditions (including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD), and neurodevelopmental disorders (including ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorder). Dr. Baumann is dedicated to providing a personalized and comprehensive understanding of an individual's cognitive strengths and weaknesses, as well as, a plan to support improved functioning in daily life.
Dr. Baumann earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from William James College. She completed her neuropsychology internship at the VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas, TX where she completed rotations in outpatient, geriatric, and inpatient/ community living centers, and PTSD clinics. She completed her post-doctoral neuropsychology residency at the VA Central Western Massachusetts where she completed inpatient and outpatient evaluations, provided cognitive rehabilitation in individual and group settings, and participated in specialty clinics in primary care, health psychology, and sleep medicine. Her past research interest has focused on geriatric veterans outcomes in acute inpatient hospitalization, seizure prevalence in dementia, and performance validity across clinical populations. Additionally, Dr. Baumann serves as an executive board member and Treasurer for the Massachusetts Neuropsychological Society from 2020 to present.
