Dr. Linda Downey is a Clinical Psychologist who serves as a Regional Practice Director and has been with the practice for 10+ years. Dr. Downey works with children ages 10 and up, adolescents, parents, and adults. She has a strength-based approach that incorporates evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that focus both on skills and interpersonal relations. Her style is warm, approachable with a sense of humor, and accepting. Dr. Downey completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology in 2001 at the California School of Professional Psychology with specialty training in Ecosystemic Child Clinical Psychology. Her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral training were through Worcester Youth Guidance Center (Community Healthlink) with rotations through UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
