About Michelle M. Clarke, LICSW

Michelle provides a holistic approach to therapy treating depression, anxiety, relational issues, ADHD, PTSD, behavioral, attachment and adjustment issues. Michelle provides individual & family therapy using Relational Therapy, CBT, Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Play Therapy, trauma informed therapy and developmentally appropriate interventions. She works to guide all people she works with to move towards change and growth in their life. She provides a safe environment for people to explore and grow. She has 18 years of experience in the field.

Michelle provides evidence-based psychological treatments for children, adolescents and adults suffering from anxiety disorders, mood disorders, stress-related disorders and health-behavior/lifestyle changes. She utilizes a variety of modalities depending on clients’ needs, including cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), stress-management/relaxation techniques, mindfulness-based interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Play Therapy and Motivational Interviewing (MI) technique.

    Michelle has a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from Salem State University with a focus on children and families. She received her CEIS in her early years in the field working with families and young children. She went on to provide school based counseling services to the 4-12 population as well as individual and family based therapies in both outpatient office and telehealth based work. She has worked in home based, school based, and outpatient settings giving her the ability to work across environments and systems. Michelle began using and working for a telehealth based organization in 2015 which gives her solid experience and knowledge in providing therapy via telehealth.

    Michelle completed her undergraduate work at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she graduated with a degree in Psychology.
