Dr. Casey has experience treating a wide range of mental and behavioral health issues, with a special interest in grief and bereavement. Her other areas of focus and expertise include anxiety and mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress-related disorders (i.e. insomnia, chronic pain, IBS), problems related to adjustment and identity development, and relationship issues. Dr. Casey believes strongly in the therapeutic relationship as a primary contributor to healing and so she utilizes a client-centered, collaborative approach. She also incorporates a variety of behavioral modalities into her treatment, including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), stress management/relaxation techniques, biofeedback, and exposure with response prevention. She completed her APA internship at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital and the counseling center at Rhode Island College.
