Stefan Becker is a seasoned, licensed mental health counselor with experience in community clinics and private practice settings. With a foundation in counseling psychology, he integrates a variety of therapeutic tools based on each client's goals. His relational style focuses on the secure alliance with clients to work through the things that may bring them to therapy. He continues advanced training in male psychology and passionately works with adolescent males and men who are limited by gender stereotypes of masculinity which promote restricted emotional expression, difficulty with vulnerability, communication and unhealthy relationship patterns.
Stefan received his Bachelor’s Degree of science in Mass communication from Emerson College in 1990 and his Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from Cambridge College in 2005. He also has advanced training in Internal Family Systems (I.F.S.), commonly known as parts-work, and mind-body tools such as Emotional Freedom Technique (E.F.T.) commonly known as tapping. Stefan's former successful career in media and the television entertainment industry enriches his therapeutic approach working with artists, performers and stressed clients working in these competitive fields.
