Stephanie Johnson, LICSW, works with children, adolescents and adults. She treats anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, and ADHD; and adjustment is-sues including school, family, and relationship concerns. Stephanie takes a collaborative and flexible approach to therapy and strives to ensure that her patients feel understood and encourages feedback throughout therapy. Stephanie specializes in CBT and has particular expertise in CBT for anxiety disorders with people of all ages. She is also trained in DBT, and teaches DBT and mindfulness skills for emotional regulation. CBT and DBT teach patients skills to better understand and manage thoughts and emotions in ways that can help them solve problems and improve relationships. Stephanie enjoys doing group therapy with adolescents and offers a CBT for stress and anxiety group and a DBT skills group for teens.
Stephanie Johnson received her Masters degree in Social Work from Salem State University and her under-graduate degree from UMass Amherst where she majored in Psychology and History. Stephanie has received post graduate training in CBT therapy from MGH, Boston University and The Beck Institute.
