About Steven Ioanilli, LMHC

Steve welcomes each of his clients in a warm, non-judgmental manner and invites them to collaborate on a path of healing and self-discovery. He takes a strengths-based approach to therapy, with the therapeutic relationship at its center, and draws from principles of mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic approaches to tailor his approach to each client’s goals. Steve’s areas of expertise include anxiety and stress reduction, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and relationships. He helps clients create their own unique path to peace and happiness in the midst of the ups and downs of life. He is a licenced mental health counselor and graduate of the University of Massachusetts, and has worked in community mental health settings, as an in-home clinician, and as director of a residential treatment home. He has a long-standing interest in the traditions that form the basis of modern-day mindfulness, and is a long-term practitioner of meditation in the Vipassana and Zen traditions.
