Wendy Hrubec has been a clinical social worker since 1990 and holds licenses in Massachusetts and Maine. She has worked with adolescents and adults, ages of 15 through 92. Her special interest is women during the reproductive years, including post-partum adjustment, infertility, pregnancy loss and young family challenges. She also sees people for depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, trauma/PTSD, bereavement and health problems. Wendy has worked in private practice and a variety of other settings throughout her career. She has most recently worked in medical settings providing Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH). IBH emphasizes brief, solution-focused therapy and has been a welcome addition to her overall skillset.
Wendy believes that each individual has “wisdom within” for making positive changes and for emotional healing. Therapy models she employs - Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, EMDR, 12 Step principles, Trauma Informed Counseling and Integrated Behavioral Health – all help clients find and use their internal wisdom.
Wendy Hrubec received her MSW in 1990 from the Boston University School of Social Work. She has also completed several advanced certificate programs including Addictions from Boston University; Trauma from the Trauma Center; Contemplative/Spiritual Clinical Work from Smith College and Internal Family Systems from the Center for Self Leadership.
