About Alison M. Szymanski, LMHC
Alison has been licensed as an LMHC in MA for nearly 20 years. She has dedicated her career to helping clients work through and manage their pain and suffering. She started her career in the mental health field working in residential treatment with children who were victims of abuse. After receiving her LMHC she worked in a clinic setting where she provided individual therapy, play therapy and art therapy with children, family therapy and couples therapy. In the 7 years before joining Life Stance, she served as a director of a Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospitalization Program where she continued to develop her clinical expertise and provided supervision to emerging therapists. In addition to treating people with depression and anxiety disorders, Alison works closely with trauma survivors. She utilizes many modalities of treatment, including, but not limited to, DBT, CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Mediation, Art therapy and Group therapy. Alison forms close therapeutic alliances to develop, attain and modify client’s treatment goals. She believes in acceptance, self-kindness and hope. Hope can heal the wounded soul.
