Dr. Gillander provides a person-centered holistic approach to therapy treating depression, mood, anxiety, adjustment, relational, and behavior-based issues. She believes in working cooperatively will all clients to support them in identifying how to create their best life. Adults and adolescents who are experiencing difficult adjustments in their careers, education, or relationships work with Dr. Gillander to challenge negative and limiting thoughts and to discover new perspectives to help them move forward with their goals. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy using a blend of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Narrative therapy principles in order to best support individual needs.
Dr. Gillander received her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology, with a specialization in Forensic Psychology, at William James College, in Newton, Massachusetts. She completed her pre-Doctoral internship at the Arkansas State Hospital, where she remained for her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Forensic Psychology and Evaluation.
