About Jessica N. Smith, LMHC

Jessica Smith is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who provides evidence-based psychological treatment for children, adolescents, young adults and parent coaching. She specializes in treating complex trauma and associated conditions including anxiety disorders,
mood disorders, autism-spectrum disorders (ASD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), and health-behavior/lifestyle changes, including working with LGBTQIA+ individuals.

She utilizes a collaborative and strengths-based approach, she helps clients improve awareness of emotions and behaviors, reduce emotional distress, and develop more adaptive responses to challenge.

Jessica’s approach to therapy encompasses an individual’s strengths and looks at the therapeutic relationship as a powerful tool to help individuals increase insight into their emotions, behaviors, and relationships. She is trained and informed in a variety of modalities depending on clients’ needs, including cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Yoga-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Y-CBT), stress management/relaxation techniques, mindfulness-based interventions, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
