About Lisa Massaro, LMFT

Lisa Massaro, LMFT, is a licensed trauma therapist and a Certified Life Coach, with a practice based in Massachusetts. Lisa has a passion for helping people heal from the trauma as they discover who they are apart from what they've been through. With a kind, compassionate therapeutic approach, and gentle spirit, she helps people find the truest versions of themselves under the pain that they’ve endured. Lisa has years of experience and a particular interest in working with adult women who have experienced trauma. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Lisa has experience working with couples to help them navigate challenges and move towards their goals in a healthy manner. Additionally, she supports individuals struggling with range of concerns including depression and anxiety. Lisa utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, Psychodrama and Mindfulness therapies and talk therapy to assist clients in experiencing freedom for the intrusive symptoms that arise from their past pain. Lisa also specializes in assisting people of faith as they recover from their trauma.

Lisa Massaro received her master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Oaks College. Over her years in the profession, she has focused her continued training in the study of Trauma, working with women survivors. Lisa has also focused her training in working with couples who are motivated to learn how to love and respect each other. Lisa has completed Gottman Couples Therapy level 1 & 2 and is a Certified Gottman workshop leader for 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work. Lisa has also completed training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
