Mark Shelford is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who provides individual psychotherapy for adults 18+. Areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, eating disorders, relationship issues, and phase of life issues among others. He uses a psychodynamic, collaborative and strength based approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and stress management, family and systems approaches, the Flash technique, respect for the person and the process, and humor. He has been licensed since 1994 and has 40 years of experience with chronic mental illness, inpatient psychiatric care, eating disorder treatment and outpatient care.

Mark Shelford complete his MSW degree at Smith College and an MA in Holistic Counseling from Beacon College. He also has extensive training in Neuro Linguistic Programming. His 35 years of experience in the field includes inpatient, residential, partial hospital, emergency and outpatient settings, including 10 years of experience working with people with eating disorders.
