About Shauna Gorham, LCSW

Shauna Gorham is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts who has been practicing since 2022. She graduated with her Master’s in Social Work from Salem State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Shauna has provided counseling in many different settings, including public schools, non-profits, inpatient psychiatric units, residential homes, and university counseling centers. She uses an eclectic counseling approach, which incorporates Strengths-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Shauna is passionate about helping clients feel empowered and seen as their whole selves within the therapeutic relationship. She is experienced and passionate about working with marginalized communities, particularly members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Shauna has supported individuals with issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, women’s issues, and life transitions. She believes that the most important factor in effective counseling is the therapeutic relationship. Shauna is a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental counselor who uses therapeutic humor and positive regard to build strong therapeutic relationships. Shauna is excited to be a part of the LifeStance team and help clients reach their individual goals. In her spare time, Shauna enjoys spending time with her dog outside, attending live music events, exploring new restaurants, and taking road trips.
