Dr. Silver is a licensed psychologist and certified health services provider. Dr. Silver received her B.A. from Columbia University in Psychology and earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. Dr. Silver completed an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center for Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy on Long Island, NY.
Dr. Silver provides individual and group psychotherapy as well as psychological testing and assessment for adolescents, young adults, and adults. Dr. Silver has received extensive training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adolescents and adults. She also has experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and completed an intensive training course in DBT offered by Behavioral Tech, LLC. Dr. Silver has worked in various settings providing evidence-based treatments and has expertise treating anxiety disorders such as social and generalized anxiety, OCD, panic, and specific phobias as well as depression, mood disorders, and adjustment issues. She tends to utilize a CBT approach while integrating mindfulness and acceptance to her work when appropriate.
Dr. Silver participates in the Beacon Health Strategies – Commercial and GIC plans only, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Behavioral Health (UBH) and Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare).
